Sydney's Birthday Party

Happy 1st Birthday to Sydney, and thanks for inviting us to the party at the River Bend Park. Grayson had a blast running and playing with his friends, popping bubbles, collecting rocks, throwing balls around, and driving his big truck back and forth. In case you didn't notice, Grayson has a new friend, his puppy backpack. When he wants his friend to come along, he holds it up and says, " Backt-pact, please!" Even though he doesn't put anything in it, we still put it on because it looks so cute.

Big Truck Day

A little boys dream a day to play to with the big trucks! He got to climb up in them, beep their horns, fiddle with all the buttons, play with the big steering wheels. The best was when we were walking into the truck area, I heard Truck, Whoa... Oh and then he was off and running. Thanks to Maggie for reading the weekender and giving us a call to let us know.

Vacation

What a couple years can make, 2006: First Anniversary in Hawaii, 2008: First Family Vacation in Orlando. A definite change in focus and a very early start to each day, but with an amazing rediscovery of childhood memories through Grayson's eyes.

Day One: We went to Sea World, and all of us had a blast but the shark encounter and watching people feed the seals were Grayson's favorites.

Day Two: Magic Kingdom. The "It's a Small World" ride completely mesmerized him, but by far the little play areas were the most fun especially the Winnie the Pooh and the squirting water lilly pad in Toon Town

Day Five: St. Augustine, Florida for a special visit with Grammie Focht, Uncle Doug and Uncle Chris. Grammie had pulled out all sorts of Ryan's old cars and toys which he pushed and zoomed all over especially in and out of the sun porch. There were so many fun playgrounds and parks that we took full advantage of, and we even found a carousel in the Historic St. Augustine area.

We did get to the Beach a couple times, one time after dinner for a walk, and Grayson really enjoyed watching the seagulls and waves. The next day we went for the true Beach experience, and Mr. Mr did not like the way the sand felt on his feet. So he mainly sat in the beach chair and played with sea shells and every once in awhile he would tip toe from towel to towel and then back to the chair.

All in All, It was a wonderful week full of new adventures and some little special moments in between. Super Thanks to Grammie Focht.
